Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

Okay... when I was about 4-5 years old I decided to harness my goat up to my little red wagon. All was going well, I got in the wagon and she took off! Well for some reason (?lol?) the wagon scared her and she really took off! She headed straight for the shed. Well the door to the shed had a 2X4 board about 8 inches high across the bottom of the door. The goat jumped the 2X4, my wagon smacked the 2X4, my fancy feed sack and grass string harness broke :( and I went rolling let me tell ya! I was going to say that was my last experience with harnessing anything but no... I seem to recall a pony that my cousin and I thought we had killed with a harness job. Opps! Don't worry, he got up! Maybe my mama should have watched me closer.

Think of how strange and foreign a wagon is to an animal and how scary it would be to have it follow you everywhere like a monster and then being expected to tow it around... I would not trust my dogs for one second with me in the wagon! I'd be on the ground in a heartbeat! But if I used the wagon regularly I might get a little better behavior out of them. As it is they spend the first ten minutes flipping out and we still have frequent stops where they turn around and try to run backwards away from the wagon chasing them.... But they are still learning. It's not our focus.

They carry their backpacks without a fuss and that is more important.

Katie bar the door! Willow is in town! Batten down the hatches and hide the wimmen and chillren!

I never got up to such shenanigans...though now I wish I had! My dad didn't hold with us doing dangerous things...nine kids and none of us got a broken bone or any serious injury at all. Translation? NO FUN, ALL WORK.

Maybe that's why I do such things now, huh? Loved whitewater rafting, body surfing, snorkeling...and would dearly love to sky dive!

It scared my goat and she took off like a rocket! Good thing she didn't take me far before the crash.

Those fellas that teach their dogs to skijore and bikejore start them out dragging milk jugs with sand in them after they first get them used to just wearing the harness for awhile. Then they move up to bigger and noisier objects and teach them commands all the while they are training. If I were young and my focus was on such things, I'd love to do this with dogs!

I was just creative... and watched too much TV. lol Had she known, I'd like to think my mama would have stopped me from going on that ride but I doubt it. She probably would have pulled up a chair and watched then rolled laughing. lol

Love the ocean, love the beach, love looking and listening watching the crabs and sea gulls and other birds. Love combing the beach looking for shells and other cool things washed ashore, and taking pics. Love the glisten of the moon or sun off the water, even love walking along the waters edge where the waves can wash over my feet and below the knees. Just no desire at all to get in the water.

Not interested in sky diving, however would LOVE to hang glide!

I bet every kid with a wagon has tried hooking the family pet to it. My brother and I figured that since we had a husky and they were supposed to be sled dogs (it comes natural to them right?) that we would hook our dog to a sled and go for a ride. Boy did we ever get a ride. You would be surprised how a gentle dog can turn into a crazed beast when scared. We got a ride right through the trees and pucker brush until we fell out. Then we had to find the dog... We used to make our own parachutes and either jump or ride our wagon off the barn roof. No television and active imaginations, but we managed to avoid broken bones and only a few stitches. Kids these days just don't know what they are missing without Tv.
