Fermenting Feed for Meat Birds

Our dog has been given beef canon bones and had her on one end trying to ignore them and the flock on the other pecking at anything they can. Dog is horrified, keeps dragging her bones inside to hide them in her beanbag, away from the crazy chicky babes.

I agree with Bee. Mine did have a change in stools after starting them on FF. That is normal. The messy butts on my girls just continued longer so I made the choice to switch to grower when I got the new tots. My new tots have never had messy butts. Part of it could be genetics?
You just need to so whats best for your flock

I bet that's a funny sight. lol

When I first came here I was not familiar with the acronyms either and kept thinking DH stood for dumb husband, because when people described their spouse, it seemed to fit to their actions...but someone soon set me straight.

NO. TOo cute. I would never be able to dress them out. I have heard they are fast and easy.

Yeah I am afraid that might be a problem with me. Kill that little creature for that little amount of meat... I don't know. Maybe if you can get their heads cut off real quick. Then they won't be so cute. But then again, come slaughter day I might just open the cages and say, "Goooo, be free little birdies, beee freeee!" ...then go hug my favorite tree of course. LOL

I was reading something about quail eggs are supposed to be really healthy to eat raw. I don't know if there is anything to it or not.

THe woman who raised the quail could process the little thiings remarkabley fast and used shears to behead them, each done in 5 minutes. Not me thank you. lol

Not sure about eating anything raw---eggs, oysters, ( shivers) NOT ME!! eeeeewwwwwww

I'm not real sure how most people process them but I have seen one bird hunter just rip their heads off then use his fingers to rip their guts out. That guy was ...mmmm how can I say ...an evil donkey? I believe he got off on killing things - psssht I know he did! Be it a dog, practically baby deer, etc.
