Okaaay... just how much is property in SOUTH Florida??? Ahhhh (sigh) I started out with 14 eggs this morning then Mr Ice smacked me down and now I have 8!!! Just walking along and W-H-A-M I'm on my back. But first I had to land right square on my bum knee. I layed there saying, "Oh God oh God please help don't let this mess my knee up!" LOL I layed there a little bit afraid to move and the rooster were having a cackling fit (seriously!). lol Finally I turned and looked at them and said, "I ain't dead." And they shut up immediately. Now hmmm, were they glad or disappointed? I finally got up and it didn't hurt... too much. I guess Somebody had a little mercy on me, YET AGAIN.

But how much is that property in SOUTH Florida? (Half a dozen broken eggs did tick me off!)

Until I can get to Florida I want some of these...

I know what you mean. I've been using crampons on my muck boots. Of course I'm also bundled from head to toe and the only thing sticking out is my eyeballs. And I swear those nearly froze last week. Had icicles growing on my eyelashes, no joke.

South Florida is nice, but I prefer to keep it to visits only. I cuss the cold here, and I cuss the endless 90's in the dry summer, but I've been to all 50 states, Canada and Mexico and there's nowhere I'd rather be. Well, unless hubs gets a job offering in Germany. I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

Yep, its true. We all knew it could happen. TWs birds just couldn't get out of their pens is all that stopped them. So, TW, I'm thinking they were disappointed!

Yeah, the knee is a little puffy but so far so good. I went straight for the ibuprofen as soon as I got in the house. lol I've been taking glucosamine hcl 1000mg & chondroitin sulfate 1200mg for my aches and pains and I believe it is helping some.

I REALLY don't like cold and hot is not so great either. It's not near as cold here as it is where you are, can't imagine! In my perfect world it would be about 80 degrees, 50-60% humidity and a light breeze every day, well plus 50-60 inches of rain that doesn't come like monsoon season. LOL Btw, what are "crampons"?

And yep, sometimes you just may as well laugh.

@Lacy Blues... No doubt! lol It was really strange how they shut up when I told them I wasn't dead. They were carrying on like 50 hens doing their egg song! ...then perfectly quiet. Hmmm...??? LOL

Crampons are those things you strap on the bottom of your boots that are all spinet on the bottom to dig into the ice. My sister has some... Personally I just walk extra slow. Sevens years of ice skating when I was a kid has made my balance on ice pretty decent.

I was in Florida when 'ANDREW' took out Homestead Air Force Base....Yep, it's cold here too but the cold has never scared me like that storm did!

TW, I am so glad you are okay!! After seeing Lacy's picture, it reminded me of Bee's prediction that her birds are waiting to eat her after falling down.

I would love it if you came to Texas.

Wish I had that kind of grace and coordination! If there's a sharp corner in the house, my shin my hip or my funny bone will find it. If there's a slippery spot to be had outside on the 4" mound we have around my hawthorn tree by the chicken pen I will slip, fall and break my neck on it. I envy those with balance!

We're headed to Florida next year for Christmas at Disney, but that's about as close as I like to get to hot and humid.

Hawaii was even worse. Pretty, but not places I'd want to live. I don't like to sweat when I'm just sitting still.
