Anyone Ferment scratch grains for their ducks?

I have a bunch of plastic containers from other uses I would like to reuse as a the thing to ferment in. But I am wondering what changes I might see my eggs that are laid whether there will be a difference in them if I am just fermenting scratch grains that I will add to a pellet food for them?

I've tried fermenting scratch for them before but they didn't seem interested in it at all.

I am thinking of starting with scratch grains and adding oats and then doing dried peas in the mix. Was even looking at maybe a millet to add in plus black sunflower seeds. So it would be a custom grain mix I guess by that point. I just read that grains are better for them fermented.
