Fertile egg yolk?

These chickens are 12 weeks old in my picture. You can see the one rooster I have in this group. The other two white(ish) ones have much lower and pale comes in comparison!

Some pullets can fool you with bigger and red combs. But at this size, nice good comb and red is a good sign before the saddle feathers come in!
Yep, he is really obvious haha!

It looks fertile to me as well. A good while back I kept getting eggs that looked fertile (I believe they were) even though my cockerel was NOT with my girls. I remember @aart and maybe someone else responding to the thread mentioning that some hens could fertilize their own eggs. There is a name for it and, of course, I can’t remember. Maybe @aart will remember and chime in. It was very interesting indeed.

Definitely noticeable there! In my lot I swear the two id guess are roosters are the ones laying! I will post a group picture tomorrow I hope to hear back from you all then. Thanks so much!

It's called parthenogenesis.

Hey y’all! So I saw two of my 6 laying this morning so now trying to determine who of the other four are roos. I marked them with a specific color in the photos to know who is who. In the second pic (yellow and red x) I’m pretty sure they’re roosters but the other two are mysteries. Crazy enough too the chicken with the yellow x has been doing the “layer squat” when I go to touch it like my chicken who is definitely female and definitely laying is doing. So weird! I don’t think green X is a rooster? And I don’t want purple x to be he/she is my favorite! Ugh these chickens have been so crazy to figure out! Which x do you think is a Roo?

Bullseye's are tricky.
I have no roosters and I see fake bullseyes all the time.

If you don't have a rooster than you aren't seeing a fertile egg.

I haven't seen you mention when you got these chickens?

If you got them as chicks then I'm stumped but if you got them less than one month ago, they could still potentially be fertilised by a previous rooster they were housed with :)
