Fertile egg yolk?

So what do you look far when you crack it open, I was always told there was no way to tell.

If there is no rooster in the flock there is no way a hen can lay a fertile egg. The roosters main job is to fertilize the eggs and most of them know how without any coaching.

I'm wondering why you are obsessing over it also, just turn on the heat and scramble. You will never know when you enjoy it. It doesn't matter!

It matters to me for a number of reason starting with I don’t have a rooster, how I intend to store the eggs and honestly just not interested in thinking about it when I’m eating the eggs so I’m looking to get answers. Thanks.

You might have missed this.

It's called parthenogenesis.

It's the only plausible answer, unless you discover a roaming rooster.

And I don’t want purple x to be he/she is my favorite! Ugh these chickens have been so crazy to figure out! Which x do you think is a Roo?

Your purple x looks a bit like my young Australorp chickens and it seems to me I see slightly drooping tailfeathers which could also be a sign for a rooster. In my opinion heavy birds develop a little slower compared to lighter birds; so if your purple x is an Australorp and hypothetically a roo, he might already be active, sort of prematurely...

Throw something yummy in front of the purple when it is a bit separated from the others. See if he/she eats it or tidbits. If they are old enough to mate, they will most likely tidbit. Try the others also.
