Fertileness Of Eggs

She can be successfully bred once, and the eggs will stay fertile for up to 3-5 weeks. Hens store the sperm and let it fertilize one egg at a time.

Question: If I know one rooster fertilized a hen's eggs, but then I breed with another rooster, will the hen use the second rooster's sperm? Or what? I want to breed, then remove all rooster's until I get a hen's egg, but I am not sure whether the eggs will use the first rooster's sperm or not?

It just depends, If you for some reason need to know the the true sire, you will have to wait around 2 weeks before re-breeding to a new male.

My system works that males and females each have their own separate large areas - Breeding is a process that takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 hours. So yes, you can remove the breeding pair and still have fertile eggs, you just have to make sure that there was a successful breeding.
