"Peck" her with your index and middle fingers and keep at her until you drive her off.
No sassiness from the ladies is permitted. Good luck to you if this gal ever decides to go broody!

Haha her sister gone broody shes a nightmare trying to lay on eggs nicking my full size chickens egg to stick underneath her shes also a bantum she kinda like growls and pecks when trying to take the eggs...but realise thats normal for a broody where as gilbert jus doesnt have a reason the funniest thing is i dont even have a roo 10 gals so not fertilised lol 😂😂 told her she can lay on them all she wants they wont hatch 😂😂 this is gilbert sis ben who i also thought was a boy lol xx

The trick I was taught to use if I was being chased was an umbrella. Open and close it rapidly in their direction. This won’t work for getting closer to them though. It is a good trick for after they start attacking for getting them off of you.

Hens like that I put in the bachelor pen so the roosters can teach her manners. One week with them usually changes their attitude. Otherwise you will have to take a stand and put her in her place. When you go in the coop immediately go after her and make her move out of your way. Use a broom/rake/stick for added affect if needed but make her move and put her where you want her to be. Get a fishing net and scoop her off her feet. If a hen doesn't respect me they are sent down the road to be processed.

Not op but mine don’t draw blood when they do that

Yes mine are terrified of umbrellas.

Is rehoming not an option? Unless you are very experienced all this can hurt the hen.

Also, is this a total one-off?
