Fifteen weeks old and waiting for eggs. Who is with me?

My hens are about 16 weeks old. Got my first egg day before yesterday and another one yesterday!!

I also let my chickens free range but have been finding the eggs in the nesting boxes.

We have 16 week old RIRs and white leghorns. The RIR aren't laying yet but the leghorns are! We think 2 out of our 4 are laying now. The first egg had no shell but each one after has had a nice clean shell. They started laying about 5 days ago and we've gotten 8 eggs so far.

I think 16 weeks is not uncommon for Leghorns! Yay for you! My Leghorn is half Orpington and that might slow her down a bit. She has been red in the face for a long time now, though. She'll be 16 weeks this weekend.

I have 2 golden sex-links and 2 Rhode Island Reds. The GSLs are about 17 weeks old and the RIRs are 16 weeks tomorrow. I am going nuts waiting for their first egg! I am checking their nesting boxes every day and trying to get them to be interested in them but they don't seem to care yet... Can anyone tell me if they could lay this early or when GSLs usually lay???

My leghorn is 17 weeks old and for the last two mornings she has been running around balk-balk-balk. Jumping into the nest boxes, jumping out, pacing the coop, stopping in the corners. She acts like she has no idea what is going on. No egg yet, but I hope soon. I can't imagine if my entire flock of pullets acted like this at the same time. It would be a sight! My RIR's are getting red in the face. Hopefully one of the pullets will lay soon.
