Fifteen weeks old and waiting for eggs. Who is with me?

Ahhh I'm so excited!

I have a flock of 16-weekers. This morning they were hanging out in the coop, checking out the nest boxes. I got the distinct impression that it was Camilla's idea and the rest were just being followers. I thought it was way too early to even start checking for eggs (and I haven't heard any egg songs) but this thread is full of people with 16 week old white leghorns starting to lay! That's what Camilla is!

Any bets on when my cinnamon queen (red sexlink) will start?

You guys are killing me!!! 11 weeks old and if I have one more person ask me when I'm bringing them some eggs I'm going to scream! I want some eggs! I have 2 roos crowing, I have 2 rir clucking and turning red, and then I have 4 girls eating and peeping. I hate waiting.

WOW! 16 weeks, that's great!
I have eight hens, 2 SLW, 2 cuckoo marans, 1 BR, 1 light sussex, 1 Red sexlink, and 1 GLW.
The BR is 17 weeks and the rest are 22 weeks. Still waiting, looking every day, but nothing yet!

Thanks Dutchess, I have the calendar in my coop/shed to keep track of milestones of my flock. It was a Happy, Happy Day--The Day of The First Egg!!

I had a hen lay her first egg yesterday. Mine are 16 1/2 weeks old. Red stars. I'm so excited, I keep checking the nesting boxes to see if any of my others are laying!

I have 2, 16/17 week old girls; 1 RIR and 1 EE with no signs of nearing egg laying. Fortunately, I have 2 hens who lay reliably and a rescue Polish who apparently has never heard that hens are supposed to lay eggs.

We are back in the holding pattern. We had one really tiny egg and the next day we had a medium egg. The second egg came on Tuesday the 16th and we haven't had any eggs since then. Back to sitting on my thumbs and and waiting again.
