Fighting and Molting - Any Advise?

My friend just told me that she has the same problem with her three hens going through their first molt. I am here looking for advice and would love to hear if your girls have improved. The hens get to forage all day long but the dominant one will peck the others no matter how much space they have. My friend tried intervention but by now the timid one is traumatized.
