Well, it failed. Me, my husband and kids are just so upset. I think the part that angers me the most is they didn't allow us to argue or deligate our side. They dismissed us without asking if there was anything we needed to add. They asked specific questions with yes or no answers and then they denied us just like that. I eventually stood up ( my husband spoke at the podium ) which at this point could be dangerous who ever I'm addressing and flat out told them that every arguement you made according to town code was excusable by permission from neighbors. The bottom line question from them over this was are they a detriment ( sp? ) to the overall health of those around us. They shut us down before we could speak. They totally dismissed my neighbors statement they went to her house to get that said she had no issue. They just kept saying "next you'll want goats! " I was so ticked.
I hate this town so much, I've lived here 9 yrs. and they make everything so difficult. I mean for crying out loud, so many cities and towns around us do allow it. It just boggles my mind.
I did ask them then if I can make a complaint about the person putting chemicals on my lawn when they have it done, but no, that's ok, they can give my cat and dogs and kids cancer, no problem.
UGH I just want to scream. I hate the suburbs.......
Sorry, I just had to rant. I want to move so badly, but with this economy, I could never sell my home!
What is the deal with chickens being the gateway drug? Then it's a slippery slope down to goats?
Is there any way to appeal? How 'bout calling a news crew to get your side out to the public- seriously.
My husband is the more diplomatic one in the family and even he said what about calling a news crew.
I said I wouln't go that more difficult route, but I am so mad. You don't want to make me mad....
