I tried marking them once but after they hatched I couldn't tell which egg they came from because there were so many. lol I used a pencil.

I'm hoping to get eggs on Friday [IMG] so I'll hatch along with you.

Im in. I have 6 silkies in the incubator already since Friday and will be adding 10 on Thursday. I think we had our first glitch over night. Incubator temp was 100 at 9pm last night and 102 this morning. Little freak out on my part but I think we are good. I think we didn't pump up the central air enough last night because we were all very warm this morning. We went from 60 degrees to 90 in a week.

Quote:We've had the same issue. Temps here have been around 70, but then jumped to 90 yesterday. We hadn't put the air conditioning on in the house yet, and the temp in the incubator spiked. We got the air going, and now everything has settled down again. I called the post office this morning to let them know to expect a shipment of hatching eggs, so they will call me when they get in, and I can pick them up.

I called up the lady that works at the post office (we live in a tiny town, so there's just the one worker) to let her know that I was expecting hatching eggs. She's gonna call me when they come in so the mailman doesn't have to cart them around with him all day. Unfortunately, they didn't come in today, so I'm hoping they'll be here tomorrow morning.

We did get to stop by my daughter's teacher's house and got 6 Rhode Island Red eggs. The kids had a blast there and got to see a goose nest and eggs too.

It looks like one set of my eggs will be in today and the other will be in tomorrow. I may go ahead and set tomorrow night instead of giving 24 hours for the second set to stabilize. I don't want that first set to get too old.

Anyone know the science behind letting eggs sit for 24 hours, anyway?

What a mess I have made of things.

I guess I will NOT be joining you. I sent my money to the wrong person on paypal. So I eggs I thought I was getting from here they never recieved the payment. [IMG]
How could anyone but me send the money to the wrong person. [IMG] And where did I even get that address from. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
I was looking at other eggs on here but there's no way to see if it was sent to someone on here I tried. It's not the money that makes me mad it's I'm so stupid. [IMG]
