I put my one in lock down Sunday night. .. a few hours early. I have a tendency to have early chicks around here

7 pips now! I'm hoping and praying all 22 hatch out. They were all moving around before I placed them in lockdown... I think I was really pumped up by the fact that 10 out of 10 ducklings hatched yesterday... lets go Chickies!

I am starting to have doubts on how successful my hatch will be. But maybe it is just first hatch jitters

Just locked down and candled. In all, out of 25 (12 Lavender Ameraucana's and 13 BBS Marans), I have 6 of each that went into lockdown. One looked like it was a little less full of blackness, so it may have been a late quitter, but I left her in there. There were 4 clear Ameraucana's that looked to be infertile. and 2 early quitters, but with the Marans it looks like all 7 that didn't make it were infertile.
I'm pretty happy that 48% made it to lockdown, but I would've loved more. Just means we'll have to try again......

Well wish my incubator luck, as it'll be all by itself the next 2 days. And I'll be a couple hours away pulling my hair out.
