Final hatch, a POOR one. :( *UPDATED* WITH PICS, YAY!

Yep I hear ya ,my final hatch went about the same. I got 14 eggs in the mail-2 were broken, two cracked. I sealed the cracked eggs. By day 14 I had 8 total that were developing. I ended up with three chicks and two dead while pipping/zipping. It's a bummer, but maybe Spring hatches will be better.

haha- that's great! I would forget by then...my brain is getting so confused just by all the swaps now. But I've got 2 that will come in the Spring due to cats knocking over the eggs, or nasty skunks killing the hens, etc....so those eggs will come to me in the Spring. Can't wait! Good Luck!

So I went home & I had THREE more Sultans in there & one Light Brahma! WOO HOO! One Sultan had a single spraddle leg, so we band-aided it and it's doing well. So then, on Saturday, I had two more Light brahmas hatch and yesterday, the final one!

So all of them hatched!

Cool....my hubby is trying to convince me to go ALL banties because they eat less & take up less room. He even said that two bantams = ONE standard chicken. This is good to know when he's trying to limit me to 20 birds, total!

My trio were my first banties and they are just so cute....my bantie eggs are in the hatcher now and awaiting the first pip!
