FINALLY caught that mink!!! (pics)

We trapped that mink!! It killed 5 of our chickens and I'm so glad its dead!!

Almost 2 feet long!

We cut his tail off and hung it in the coop.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does hanging the tail in the coop do for you? Decoration or does it help repel other minks, or something else...?

We kinda used the old kinda way you trap things. Like those snappers. but we put a tube before the trap and put sticks and stuff around it so the mink would go in the tube and it did and it got trapped!!

Nice work! I've never actually seen a mink - I didn't realize they got that big. Sorry to hear about your chickens. One less predator hanging around your coop.
