Finally caught the stray Min Pin - new pics

She is cute! Congrats on your new companion.

Kudos for rescuing her.

Just to make sure you aren't later accused of stealing her, you should put up a flyer or two just in case she was accidentally lost with a desperately sad family looking for her.

Hooray for Prissy! We have a wonderful min pin who is living with my parents right now as a sort of therapy dog. I miss her like crazy, but my mom needs her TLC more than I do right now. They are great dogs. Just in case you end up not being able to keep her, there is a great rescue called IMPS (Internet Miniature Pinscher Service) and they are a terrific organization. Hope she ends up being a wonderful addition to your family!!

We're keeping her. She's just too sweet not to and like Beefy said, she's gone from rags to riches. She's already the true little Miss Prissy. Even Scarlett seems extra calm and careful around her. Scarlett is our GSD puppy who is huge and hyper and NEVER calm. But she follows Prissy around and just sniffs her. Prissy doesn't seem to mind.

Edited to say that in that first pic, that big white thing by her ear is just one of the many huge ticks that were on her. Her ears were full of them with several ticks in one spot. It left a big bloody hole there were so many in one small area. I've cleaned her wounds and applied Neosporin. We also have a bottle of Panacure on hand and will give her that for worms. Our little town vet doesn't open till Tuesday.

What a sweetheart! I've taken in many strays over the years and for the most part they've been ideal pets.
My husband drives over the road and just mentioned to me last night how many strays he's been noticing. I picked up a small bag of dog food for him to take on his next trip so he can be a meals on wheels when he comes across them.
Good job Ruth!
