Not sure about getting any work done tomorrow...........It starting to look like rain..

It's Tuesday and it's still raining a little.

Check out what we came across today.......

FREE lumber

FREE door

FREE window

FREE labor....well I did feed them.

Then the 1st wall goes up....................

Then the 2nd........................

Then the 3rd wall is framed in..........

I am so glad that the Lord blessed us with the lumber and the labor. We did get to the 4th wall but we need 2 more 2x4's. We are going tomorrow to get more lumber and then we will start on the roof this weekend, weather permitting. They are calling for more rain.

Here is some work that we got to do today on the coop. What we done is we wrapped the whole coop around the bottom with chicken wire and we are going to put concrete on top of the wire so no digging varments can chew through the sides................

We also finished bracing in the other 2 walls...........

We thought we weren't going to be able to work on the coop but since not much of the rain came we decided to try.

I like the concrete idea! I will have to remember that for future coop plans! Can you post pictures of how the concrete looks when you're done pouring and spreading it?

Today is Mon. 28th............It is our anniversary and my hubby took a day off work so we could be together. Well he took me to a nice breakfast this morning and on the way home we past a small dump site and I glanced that way and saw a pile of lumber. We turned around and went back and it consisted of 1x6's, 2x4's, 2x6's and a few 2x12's. It was enough lumber to fill the bed of his truck (I have no pic of that). Boy were we happy. Well it is raining like crazy here today but we have to get the coop dried in so we can move the bigger chicks out there. So here are a few pics so far.....
