Finally finished w/ new Coop...."UPDATED PIC's!!! Page 6

Even though it rained up until about 4:00 the boys and the hubby worked to get the coop dried in. Here are a few updated pics.............

Here the trusses are going on

Here the OSB board on the roof is added

Here we pour the perimeter with concrete over chicken wire so wild animals and dogs can't dig through

Here the door is attached and hinged...and yes I have a door knob

The chicks are in the coop.......

Tomorrow the siding will go up. I will post pics as we progress.

I like the concrete idea. We have several bags of quickcrete. I think we'll put it on top of our wire skirt too! Its a great idea! Thanks.

Crew, it looks like you guys worked really hard on that one! Your babies looked happy! What are you gonna do about paint on the outside? Did you get any good free paint? I usually look in the mistints section, or at our re-store. You guys did a fab job, and I am so impressed with the predator control you used!

I am not going to paint he coop. Today I am going to start putting up wood siding. And on the front it will have vinyl siding cause the rain blows from west to east here and the front faces the west. I'll post pics later.

The wood siding will be watersealed.
