FINALLY! First Egg

[Chicks R Friends NOT Food]

I stopped checking for eggs a few days ago, then found an egg in the run this morning. I looked in the coop- another 2 eggs. All perfect, medium, green eggs. I'm so proud of my girl Cloud!

She's not my only pullet, but the only one old enough to lay.
I don't plan on eating these eggs since I'm not sure exactly how long they've been there, but I will be eating the new ones everyday.

Why can't she eat those eggs? It is my understanding that as long as the temps arent high enough to incubate and she hasn't washed the flora off the eggs they are fine at room temps. my family and I ate eggs that we collected last saturday and have been at room temp(actually a little warmer, prob about 80) since then just this morning. That was 10 hours ago and we're all fine... The flora protects the eggs.
