I figured you did, just wanted to make sure.

So far there are four Marans out and some more are pipped. I am confused tho because 2 of the Marans chicks are silvery colored...is it possible to get a splash from 2 cuckoos? I've hatched from these same birds before and never had any chicks this color. I'll post pictures of them when they're dry.

Katy, you can get very light cockerels and they will appear silvery, sometimes right from hatch. I can usually tell my cockerels from pullets in the BRs right at hatch. Same thing with the lighter down color in the CMs

I've had more roos than pullets out of these same parents in other hatches and have never had any this light colored....even tho the roos certainly became lighter as they grew. I'm really puzzled and curious to see how they turn out. I'll post pictures either later tonight or tomorrow.

Here they are.....the one is darker than the other, but they are both MUCH lighter than the normal colored darker chicks!! I can't wait to see them dry.

Wow! Those are light! Hope someone can shed some light on this one, no pun intended! Those don't look like Cuckoo Marans at all.
