And not a feather on their heads was injured!
Oh, and the pool can now be prepared for opening if we ever get round to it.

Nice!!
It is a palace...especially size-wise and compared to what you've been dealing with.
Thank you so much @aart . Inside that chain link and under the pole barn end is the original prefab coop and a smaller one gifted to me by @Brahma Chicken5000 when I had an emergency. I can safely say if I hadn't gotten some "no punches pulled" advice along with loads of encouragement I probably would have had seriously stressed or sick birds and eventually would have given up. Now I'm excited! My original flock of 4 hens has successfully been increased with 4 pullets. All of them will be in the new digs, 77sqft, long before the pullets are ready to lay. Once that happens I may or may not add 4 more making it 12. That will be my limit. The coop could hold 19 at its max but I want them to have more than the minimum per bird.

Thank you to everyone who ever offered me advice. :bowWhat a great place we have here at BYC!:love;)

Stay tuned for more updates!:thumbsup

I was wondering about this(I knew it would happen!)
Seriously...wait until next year.
No need to fill up that new space all at once!

Any plans to let the cockerel back in with the flock?

Those other small coops will come in handy.
