Here in WI we have been full of snow for the last couple of weeks. Last week we had a small melt for a couple of days, and a lot of snow left. It took my scared little cochin chickens a couple of days to finally venture back outside (with some coaxing with mealworms).
"Yeah, we will come outside, but we aren't walking in the snow!"
"Hmmm... last time we were out here, we were smaller than this cat. This is nice!"
"What is this stuff?! "
"I don't know, let me get a better look at it..."
"Look at me, I am the big tough rooster! (Though I was the last to venture out, and the first to go back in. I let my faithful brood go ahead of me just to make sure everything was safe. Though, I would totally be out here first if there was something REALLY scary!) "
