Diabetics are more prone to infections, etc. so if you cut your foot, it could get infected. Especially since theyā€™re also more prone to nerve damage so a cut may go unnoticed. I should know, Iā€™m diabetic lol I donā€™t have the nerve damage though. But Iā€™m never barefoot now unless maybe occasionally in bed but thatā€™s it. I used to be barefoot all the time.
