Hey Terina -

Noticed in your videos that you haven't done anything with your fences yet. Thought I'd share what type of hot wire I am using.

NOTE: I'm a 50's single woman and put it in myself around my 4 acres to keep my horses away for the barbed wire on this property that was originally intended for cattle. You and/or your hubby should have no problems at all.

Horseguard fencing. It's a much better hot wire that will last a lot longer than the cheap thin white stuff or just plain wire AND since I put in my fencing 3 yrs ago, they came out with bi-polar hot wire where you don't need a ground which will work great for your part of the state and it's something you can put in now and not wait till spring.

And
they came out with fence extenders you could attached to your T-Posts here: http://www.horseguardfence.com/newprod/news.php

They
have a test kit you can try for $70.00 here (it was free a month ago) : http://www.horseguardfence.com/newprod/kits.php

Their
website is great. Customer service is great. And you can get install guides from their website in addition you get installation instructions with your order.

I ordered their electric charger but you can use any charger.
