Finding fodder seeds?

I’ve bought smaller quantities of wheat, clover, barley, and rye online with good luck. Think I bought last from seed world.

For quantity for a good price? How about black oil sunflower seeds? My TSC has a 40 lb bag for $18.

I will definitely look into seed world!! Thank you for the suggestion.

Wild violets and clovers are good, and mowable. Fine in part shade too. It's not all about grass! Chickweed.

I get fodder seed from my feed supply store. Talk to the store operators tell them what you are doing. In most cases they may not have what you need, but they will get it. A 50 pound bag of Barley seed cost me 15-17 dollars.

They’d have to special order the seed and the can’t just get one bag :/

The regional differences can be huge. The closer you are to the source, the better price you're going to get. The further, the higher price you'll pay.

Pardon the ignorance...

Is there anything wrong with sprouting wild bird mix? (mainly sunflower seeds, sorghum and millet). How does growing fodder help cut down on food costs?

Oh, I’ve read that fermenting feeds will help keep costs lower if you’re not doing that already...
