Fingernails and Fishing go hand in hand... :) **PICTURE HEAVY**

I have been fishing for about 8 years now.
I have also been getting my fingernails done for as long.
My nails take a beating, but man do they look great when I catch a fish!

I even have my superstitions.

Pink or red nails will NOT CATCH FISH!

If I want to catch nice fish... I have to have Blue or green nails.

And in the past year, every now and then, I get nail art done.
This way I can do some splashes of red, but still follow my other rules!

I found that the fanciest nails sometimes bring in the biggest fish!!!

so here.. let me share some of my nails from last year as well as this year... and every two weeks, I will add my latest design/color.

WOWZA! Those are some nice looking nails and fishes too! I tried doing my nails, can't stand the feel of fake nails. Whew! I have my hands in water too much to have nails.

My hands have been in the water a whole lot the past few years... and I never have had a problem. People have always been amazed that my nails do not come off. I have only broken a few nails while fishing ...hmm... actually, I can't remember breaking a nail while fishing. But i have broken a few.

and now that I have chickens... I was them even more than normal!

I love to fish! Back home our farm pond is 18 acres of fresh water. I spent my entire life fishing until I moved here.

Cool! I've never caught a gar or even seen one! Good luck with the salmon! My goal this year is to catch a steelhead. Last year DBF bought both of us waders and loaded up on steelhead tackle and info but by the time they came in (the fish) it was too cold for me to want to go. Maybe this year!

We just ate the bluegills and sheephead that we caught last week. Everyone said sheephead were not good eating but I couldn't tell them apart from the bluegill! Also like smoked trout and catfish. YUM!!!

I caught a steelhead last fall.. or maybe it was 2 years ago.Never got a picture. Would like to do it again.

Good nail color/fish color coordination. I've never had my nails done in my entire life. Cant quilt with long nails.
