When you have bedding all over your house and don't mind.
When the kids bring them inside to watch T.V. with them, and you don't get mad....but I do make them take the chickens back outside....
When your fav. chicken puts her beak in your mouth after pecking at who knows what...and you don't freak out.
When in the evening you sit outside and watch them, and not T.V.
When you wake up to one in your face and don't yell at the kids, instead smile and pet them (the chicken not the kids!) (again, then the kids take them back out)
When you haven't eaten all day, walk outside with a salad, they all come running up to you, so you share and go hungry for just a little longer...
When you go grocery shopping and purchase extras for them to eat too
When you hang up from talking to a Friend because a co-worker stops by to talk chicken with you!
When co-workers ask about my chickens before asking about my kids.
When you put off purchasing new technology to instead put money into expanding the coop and adding more chicks!
When you hear a cluck and know who it is, and what she wants.
I'm sure there are some I am missing......
