We finished the coop and run today.
We added a covered run, a rain barrel to catch the water run=off, and poured concrete all around the outside edges to hopefully deter the critters. The sacks are to cover it from the rain until it dries a bit.
My girls are very happy.
I feel like they have plenty of space now for 3 hens.
Hattie, my 2nd Barred Rock FINALLY laid her first egg yesterday, a full two MONTHS after her sister who hatched the same day. I sure was happy - I was leaning toward getting rid of her.
Anyway, here are photos.
I'm anxious for the grass to come back in now and to put some kind of plants along the outside to give them shade in the summer.
