Southerngirl, I'm curious if you ever raise dark cornish as meat birds.....I saw your pics in the other section and they are good looking birds. Thanks.

I'm trying to decide what kind of meat bird is right for me; I'm considering Freedom Rangers and Dark Cornish. I've heard the Dark Cornish are good foragers.

I was even eyeballing Young-young roosters but decided to let them go for another month- I love redneck appliances!
 
@ sonew Thanks!! That is one thing I love here on BYC; a group of people looking to raise their own food and to use whatever materials we can get to build pens, process and raise our food.I need to check out the $6 plucker thread. THX!!!!
