finishing feed

does anyone feed there quail anything different before they are processed if so what and for how long my quail are 5 weeks today and i just penned off the extra roos and my mouth is starting to water i can almost taste them!
any help would be appreciated.

You can lower protein as the birds are of breeding age. GBS is great for hatch to 6-7 weeks. I then add finch seeds and continue with calcium carbonate (oyster shell). Non breeding birds can even be fed 50% non medicated gamebird maintenance or non medicated chicken layer crumbles, and 50% finch seed. My birds are laying a lot more on Gamebird maintenance to be honest mixed with finch seed and calcium carbonate.

After 8wks you can mix 50% scratch with the feed. adding a little more each day till you reach 50% if they have grit available
