Oh yeah, I’ve never known it to happen either even with our huge Lab/Pyrenees but I actually meant about the weights mentioned and what breed they were haha cause I thought you had a Golden that bigOur dogs in general....breeds below

They don’t have to weigh them for shows I don’t think so as long as they met other requirements, it’s possible they were bigger. Although they probably shouldn’t have been breeding out of standard dogs. But it’s also possible they were fat too or at least a bit overweight. The standard hasn’t changed in a long time ha but unfortunately there are dogs that sneak by with faults and things like I’ve heard of some coloring noses in some breeds or just random other things to win.Maybe the standard has changed, but apparently the proper weight is 60-75 pounds for males, but I know that both of his parents were show winners.![]()

Oh yeah no I’m sure haha it was a while ago right? I honestly think that they have been making retrievers smaller LOL the standard hasn’t technically changed but I don’t see the big huge bull moose dogs as much anymoreI've got no idea what was going on with that.
