Finn's thread!! Puppy is GROWING!!!

if anyone has a puppy and doesn't have antlers for said puppy, you NEED
he loves the antler sO much and they keep him calm and focused on chewing, as well as not chewing the couch

We got a bully stick chew for Tessa yesterday. She really enjoyed chewing on it for a while, and then I think the novelty wore off somewhat. She'll still chew on it when she feels like it, but not as often. I might try antler chews in the future. I have heard they are a bit hard for puppy teeth though. What do you think?

We played with the frisbee for the first time today!!
I want to teach him to catch it in the air, but it seems hard lol
my rollers suck, partly because the frisbee is old and is kinda warped, but I also need practice lol
He loved chasing it, but he'd start chasing it after it hit the ground

Oh, fun! Does he bring it back? I'm not sure how to teach a dog to catch a frisbee in the air either.
Tessa is getting better at *kind of* bringing her rubber ball back when I throw/roll it. She grabs it, races in my direction, and then either throws herself on my legs and starts mouthing my clothing, or passes me and continues running before circling back and finding something more interesting to chew on (grass or sticks). I have a frisbee for her, but she's still a bit small for it and there isn't much space to throw it in our yard.

Meh, sort of
He'll figure it out eventually, ND has picked up on the fact that if she brings it back, I can throw it again, so he will too

I'm not sure how to teach a dog to catch a frisbee in the air either.

I just want him to be able to do it so that I can bring him to the fields at school and show off lol

We haven't gotten bully sticks because like half the point of something to chew on for us is so that you can take your eyes off of them for a sec, and bully sticks you need to watch them because pieces can break in their mouths.
Finn's antler is a little piece of one and it's cut in half to expose the marrow, which is softer. I don't think that any part of it is too hard for him.

The bully stick I got I put into a West Paw Quizl toy so it is unlikely she would be able to break a piece off. Plus when she chews it it gets very soft and almost stringy rather than crunching apart, so there aren't any bits she could choke on. I know there are some dried meat part toys that actually are light and crunchy, so I am avoiding those. The antler with marrow sounds good. Where did you get it?

Wow, so big! How many pounds does he gain per week? Tessa the spoo has consistently gotten 2 pounds bigger every week.

It's great, he loves it! I think just at petsmart or petco. It's like 4 inches long. I"m pretty sure that it's the kind of thing that they have in open bins.
