Usually when there is some long name chemical that nobody has heard of, it's cause it's new and untested. Salesmen will love to say 'there is no proof that this brand new chemical does anything at all except what we say it does (because it hasn't been around long enough to be tested yet)' then after the company spending years resisting attempts to test the product, some nation in Europe does the studies and finally bans it and then maybe some other countries ban it too. Or not, who knows. DDT is STILL on sale in a lot of places.

There has never been a nuclear reactor or a product put on the market that wasn't perfectly safe.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, I am sure that chlorhexadine is great, 100%, but I know that we can bet the devil our heads that Honey is better.

Chlorhexadine has been around for many years, so it's not new. It is more expensive, which is why maybe why more people don't use it. Call a vet and ask them what would be best for wound cleaning. Pretty sure chlorhexadine and betadine will be at the top of their list, not peroxide, rubbing alcohol or honey.

X2, my vet has been using chlorhexadine for years and so have I. He suggested it to me years ago, knows I treat a lot of stuff here myself. It's much better then hydrogen peroxide and definitely gets the job done.
