First Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatchathon- Join us! Set Day: Easter

As tempting as this hatch a thon would be, I'm wrapping up hatching for the year. DH is out putting a pen together now, with more to do on the to-do list.

I did breakdown and order poults from Porters !!

How many did you get?! What kinds?

Thanks for the warnings about the metal shed. I think we're going to build one and when I say "we're" I mean I'll be paying for it and fetching tools while BF sweats and builds.

You might find this a good project to work on, as in hands on, and not just passing the tools! LOL

My first wish list put me at 30 poults! But I did manage to whittle the order down to 10 Auburn and 10 sweet grass. I waited too long to order Narri and Bourbon Red, so I tought I would try something different. HOpefully with 10 I will have some males and some females. and they will be mature enough for breeding next spring!!!

Awesome! I just checked out the sweetgrass pictures, and they're gorgeous!

I "helped" build the chicken coop, and the addition to the chicken coop, and the duck coop, and the hoop house. My favorite parts are the pneumatic staple gun and painting. BF calls me "3D-tarded" (actually that started with ex-husband but BF says it fits) because I just can't understand 3D in 2D. The drawings make no sense to me. Then there's the pesky part that a 2x4 is neither 2, nor 4. I'm done.

You handled organic chem! Think of this as building a specific molecule. Certain things fit together and others don't ! I don't remember any 3-D textbook models of water or glycogen, so somewhere in your brain you might just be able to do the 3-D/2-D conversion!! Just needs practice. ANd, yup, 2 x 4 is the original rough cut measure before running it thru a planer. A 2 x 4 always measures the same, just not 2 x 4 !

Porters has too many turkeys to choose from! I've been looking at that site for over a year--drooling . . .

I have to say I was one of the few people in the class that brought a CX4 molecule model to each test so I could figure out if something was S or R enantiomered. Most everyone else could rotate the molecules visually in their brains. I can't even play 3D video games. I get lost and stuck in a corner.

I think SCG just likes watching the BF work!

It's true... but mostly I like having a unique, one of a kind, high quality item, made for my needs.

Yes they are Deb

They must be finishing up loosing the feathers on their heads. I didn't really notice it until you pointed it out.

I need to post another updated picture of my RP, the markings are coming in SO well!

Mine are supposed to ship on Monday, I can't wait! And it's only supposed to be in the 80-90's next week, instead of 100+ I'm sure they'll appreciate that.

I had my first chick hatch under a broody today, a teeny little serama chick. She still has two more eggs, I didn't think any were good, but today was the day they were due. They've had four broodies sitting on top of those poor three eggs. This chick will be mothered to death (hopefully not). I have four more serama eggs in lockdown, due tomorrow. Maybe if they all hatch, I can pass them out to the four ladies.
