FIRST BARRED ROCK EGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Barred rocks are only 16 weeks old, so still sweet, shy but very curious little girls - always heading out to areas too far from the coop with the cockerels. I do hope they'll stay sweet.

Aww Mine are full on egg layers and they are still sweet and soft, including my oldest Buff Orpington, Potato

All four of my ladies are BR and they are all very sweet and interactive with us. The only time they peck at one another is a little bit with treats and a little getting into spots on the roost bar. The sweetest one who gets pecked the most because she won’t peck back was my first to lay eggs. Three are laying and 1 is just now squatting. She seems to be a late bloomer. The other three have been very consistent though!

I have 4 pullets hatched in August, I see two are cuddling up to the rooster, and the last two day, something has been tearing my nests apart... so I am getting hopeful. I have had chickens most of my life, and the first egg is still special!
