Well I was accidently sold eleven roosters and one hen. I'm going to butcher the roos in a week and a half

wow that is always disappointing sounds like you will be having some yummy chicken soup or what ever you make of them

Hopefully these roos don't taste weird because they started crowing a week ago.

I was told that roosters taste weird once they get at about the crowing age. Not sure if that is true or not but I will find out within the next couple of weeks.

Yep I guess so I didn't know that at all...

I'm going to just put them in the crock pot and hope for some tender chicken

Yep sounds good! wish I could have picked up the courage to do that with my rooster we could have has some good chicken!.. oh well someone is taking him so it works fine either way!

For warning your chicks will switch moms. I had my turkeys outside and all the sudden the one turkey had three babies and the other had none. I had to go outside and steal it back and give it to its original mom. The first mom only has one baby now since I took one.

Good warning but.... mine will be in the big dog crate and then when i let them out the other chickens wont be in the run so i think i'll be ok lol i guess we'll see what happens
