Lost one of my girls to a hawk today. First time for me. I had to get the hawk out of the run and clean up poor Ethel

Sorry to hear your loss. If at all possible can you place chicken wire over the run, that will deter the hawk from going back in. Hawks are very tenacious predators and if he was successfully today at getting a chicken, there are higher chances he will be back. Good Luck!
