I am also in Nashville GA! And I am also just beginning to venture into this secret subculture of chicken fanatics!! I'm hooked already and I don't have bird #1 yet!
Your coop looks great. I am jealous! I have a cage (?) that was left on my property by the previous owners for some kind of birds. It has perches that are 5 feet high! But it is something to start with.
We need to get in touch. Maybe we can help each other through the learning curve and possibly in the future share orders of chicks or swap some birds or whatever.
I am still doing the research on what breeds I want, where to get them, etc, etc. as well as figuring out the design of my coop/run.
Are you planning on free ranging yours at all? I have hawks that hunt my pasture right behind the house regularly. I want to free range as much as possible, even if it is only while I'm outside.
