Hello!

I want to preface this by saying that I have had an ongoing respiratory issue in my adult flock and the silkies in this video are separate from them, but I still worry they could be "sick." My adult birds seem to have viral bronchitis and have had off and on sneezes since December. I've treated with antibiotics, but I still hear a few sneezes now and then.

I have two silkies who have begun crowing. The gray silkie that I will post a video of only does this weird sneeze/hiccup thing in the morning before he crows. Is this his way of learning to crow or does he have a respiratory issue too?
In this video you can hear the crow of the adult rooster first, then the black silkie crows, then the gray one that I'm worried about crows at the end:
Here is a close up of his hiccup/sneeze things

Thank you for any help!!

Sorry to hear your birds face this. :(

Anti biotics won't treat bronchitis... but may help if the birds are facing secondary infections.

I suggest keeping nutrition high by using a flock raise type feed and not diminishing too far with treats.

Occasional supplement of Rooster Booster brand poultry cell and PRO biotics would be my personal course of action. Support the bodies T cell production to fight of viruses. :fl

Quite often when a respiratory virus manifests symptoms, it's because of a secondary bacterial infection. That is what you'll be treating. It will not remove the virus from the cells of your birds.

Mix the med according to directions on the package and do it fresh each day for the duration of treatment. Small chicks will get the dose they need from the amount of water they consume in a day for their metabolic needs.

Thank you! That is why I treated the adults with Doxy-Tyl to help with any secondary infections, which it seems they sneeze a lot less now, but I don't know why I still hear them sneeze.

Thank you, I will mix up the solution today then!
