First Day in Garden

Its their first day at their new job. Yep that right they are in the garden. I can't believe how fast they have grown in 10days. 2 ducklings occupy the same space in their little water tote as 6 babies last week. Of the 6 two went to another home leaving 4 with me until their sex can be decided. I watched how to sex them on you tube so I checked them when I picked them out but I know I must be wrong too often since just about all looked female. haha so I going with the law of 50/50 hoping that 2 of the 4 ducks I have are female .Because I am going to only keep two. If they are all drakes I am going to start all over but with older ducks. don't want to start all over with all that poo in the warm house. These guys were 2 days old when I got them and they were with their mother. So they did not imprint on me. They are still very frightened of me.

give it time, the more you're out and about around then the more they'll get use t you. treats are amaZing for the bonding process, my indian runner imprinted on my islander and yet she is the first one to run up to me when I have thawed peas in my hand. my ducks are afraid of.me slightly but that's their defense once I catch them they are fine with sitting.with me for.pets and check ups
