First Easter Egger Egg!

I only have the one as well and had fingers and toes crossed for blue (or blue-green/mint/etc.)...I got my wish and hope you do too!
Thanks! at least you have OE's... any color but light brown & white is fun! I was only sad, because early on (I got the only 2 EE chicks we could find at 4 different feed stores) the other died.... I was really sad., she was such a sweet chick... I had no idea hawks were so bold as to snatch her right in front of me:hit

That’s awful! I can’t imagine seeing that.

It’s funny you say that about white layers because a dark brown and a white egg layer are next on my wish list! :)

me too! I only have light brown layers (they haven't started laying yet..slackers) besides my 5 year old polish hen who will lay a couple tiny white eggs in the spring, and a silkie who is yet to lay.

Her next handful of eggs have been trending green so I don’t think I lucked out with a blue shade after all...still pretty though and she’s healthy and laying consistently which is the most important thing!
