First egg at last-now with pic on post 1

    My bantam cochin laid 2 eggs this weekend, both with yolks...I was very impressed! I lef the camera at home, will try to remember it tomorrow. Those little banty eggs are PERFECT for my kindergartener's lunch! He loved the mini hard boiled eggs! She's doing the bantam thing tho, trying to find a hidey-hole to lay in....I have to keep an eye on her!

    ETA: we have gotten 3 eggs now, all consistent in size and color!

    Awwww! How adorable!
    I have some pullets laying in the Araucanas, Cochins and Silkie pens. The eggs have been well received at the church free food bank. I knew someone could use them.
    I think it is terrific that your DS loves them for lunch![​IMG]
