Marsella, laid her first egg Friday and then like clockwork Saturday too. Nothing Sunday in the 25 hour timeframe. Should i worry? Eggs were small yet perfect. Hard shell and perfect yolk. There was a small brownish spot in yolk. Shell was very clean too. Very impressive.

lol I'm going out of town next month for 6 days and my husband will be taking care of the birds for me. It has me stressed out :( No predator incidents in a long time yet I am sure they are all going to be killed and/or drop dead and/or come down with terrible illnesses and injuries while I'm gone.

Awww. I'm back from Disney and was nervous too. I'm sure everything will fine. I just did the best I could to prep coop and care for the girls. They are fine and in fact my 2 Rhode Island reds laid their first eggs while gone. They def were loud the first time I went in upon return but all is good. Sage travels
