Wow, Its been a while since I've posted in this thread. My 6 girls STILL haven't laid an egg yet

. They are all 18 weeks and 1 day old. One of my black australorps is SO LOUD! She won't stop talking my ear off

! Her comb is pretty red too. One of my production reds comb is really large and beat red! I will have to get pictures of the girls soon.

Congratulations to those of you who have recieved your first eggs!!!!!

You will have an egg any day!

It's an Easter egg hunt every day at my place. We check the nest box, then the floor of the coop, the underbrush under the pines, under the raspberry bushes . . . but so far, no jackpot.

I'll post updated pics of our BO's red faces from today as soon as I upload them.

Thanks! My BR should be the next to lay! I get to have the first egg excitement 10 more times this year! LOL!

I have no idea how many times I am going to have the excitement this year I have my two RIR that are getting close then they go to 8, 7, 5 and 3 week old one to wait and see what is what. I am not 100% one the ages of them all for there are so many. I just know I have a bit to wait after the RIR start.

We had our first egg today! Our hen daisy went missing this morning and I went to look for her, I found her in some weeds with an egg she had laid. Then tonight she laid another egg with a really weak shell and then she laid a yolk! It was crazy!
