First Egg Countdown

I have two the same age. When I got them on Mother's Day, they were about a week old...so in my head I am thinking...26 weeks? 6 months exactly. I am still waiting on the lavender orpington, who was pretty traumatized after we got her, the jersey giant, the other Easter Egger, and the buff orpington-Jungle Fowl mix.

Pretty eggs! I'm still waiting on a RIR who is 24 wks, a BO that is 23 wks, and a Cuckoo Maran that is 22 wks. The EE is only 16 wks so not looking for hers yet. Somebody has been playing around with the nests but not leaving anything in them.

My cuckoo maran was my first, at 24 weeks, so hopefully you will see some egg action pretty soon!

Well let's see.. I have got a new Hampshire red and two barred rock pullets that should be nearing point of lay, picked them up as 1~2 week olds in beginning of June, they don't seem to be interested in the nest yet, might be because my leghorn chases them out. Should start soon, nhr probably first as she's thickest with reddest most developed comb(yes im positive on gender).
I also have five bantam hens that were sold to me as at pol or close that I've had for a couple months. Black Cochin, what I think is a black sex link, lavender amauracana, red laced black Wyandotte and a pretty buff and silver serama, . No eggs from them yet, except the rlb Wyandotte had with older hen might have laid.. Not sure since I moved her to pullet coop with other young hens that I don't have specific roosters for when she started to molt, so no eggs from her for sure.. Mild molting so I'm hoping it was her laying and she will show other pullets how it's done =)

I have 4 Golden Buffs, 3 Buff Orpingtons (1 is a roo) 2 Barred Rocks and 2 Easter Eggers. And a light brama roo I adpopted from the side of the road and never claimed. The littles hatched 8/19/13 so they should be of age in January although I'm worried with the cold and short days they won't start till March although they are investigating the nest boxes.

I have 14 pullets of varying breeds. RIR, LB, BA, SLW, Gold and Black Sexlinks. 3 days, 3 eggs. All the birds are the same age. It appears that the 3 eggs are from the same pullet. All 3 eggs are same size and color. Why aren't the others starting to lay?
