The anticipation of the event demands the "Wow" factor! We're still waiting after 24 weeks, just now starting to get that "feeling" of "When is this going to happen???!!!" Lol.

It's the most amazing feeling to watch our chicks grow from day old babies to where they are now, it's just the best.

@chicksurreal I wasn't even looking! I was trying to clean up the run after a soaking rain. I happened to look in on a whim and caught a bit if color! Lol! Just when I had decided it would be another week or two and stopped actively harassing them. You guys are good luck!

Lol! That is really awesome! The best!

I'm watching the nesting boxes, but not obsessively, I'm having so much fun watching them grow and change that when an egg does finally appear I'll probably be shocked!

I've noticed that several of our pullets have really started to mature. They are getting color to their faces and their combs and wattles are developing fast! I just remember how cute they were when they were day old chicks that we picked up at the post office and now a short 24 weeks later they are becoming lovely hens.

I used to be this person who begrudgingly allowed my sweetie to get chickens that would eat bugs and give eggs, to a person who loves chickens more than she thought possible and really couldn't care less if she ever gets eggs other than because it's another really cool thing that chickens can do! Who am I?
