First Egg Countdown

OMG!! First egg is here already!
I was prepared for a long wait... and I predicted a Marans would be first. NOPE!
this egg was laid by a Welsummer, 18 and a half weeks old!!!

My Barney girl laid her first egg today. Not sure what to make of its size. Micro egg. She is a 10 months old Barnavelder. The egg weighed 1/4 ounce.

So cute! I got one of those this week too. It had a tiny little yolk, perfectly proportioned.

5 eggs today! Slowly but surely, they are jumping a-board the egg train. I don't know when this will wear off, but I get so excited every time I go out there and find a new egg!

It never wears off for me. My girls are on about 6 weeks of laying and I just love going out to collect eggs every day!
