Today's eggs. Two RSL's laid. Their eggs are the medium tan color.









Not sure which ones are the layers so I posted a group pic. They are 19 weeks old.

Looks like a very healthy flock. I'm very jealous that you have green! Everything here is brown, and we are in a very bad drought.

The waiting is killing me, I have 2 PR's, 2NHR's, and 2 White Chickens? they were supposed to be White rocks but they are not! I think they
are leghorn?? I know they are almost ready, they are squatting, hanging in the nest boxes, they are well fed and spoiled
rotten!!!! Every day they do something new, they are so much fun and my 4 yr. old Shih tzu free ranges with them nicely now!
Only thing is when they squat or sunbathe he cries and cries and cries, lol. He thinks something is wrong with them it is so cute.
Mother hen gives him a peck once in a while to keep him in line, he comes to me looking sad, its so funny to watch. But
waiting for the eggs is just killing me, how much longer must i wait?? So happy to see everyone elses though, congrats for all of you!

How old are they? If they are squatting and practicing in the nest boxes, it shouldn't be long - within the week.

Thank you, I was raised in Northern California and I do remember many droughts. I have lived in TN for 12 years now and I love having all the seasons that we did not really have in CA. I hope you get rain soon. I sure did hate being on water restrictions when I was young.

Just got our first egg and here's my lady Sergeant my First Lady to start paying her rent.

Here are my girls they where hatched end of March so they are 17 weeks
One started laying yesterday I think it is one of the white rocks

Got our first egg today from my GSL. She's 19 weeks.

My chickens are about 14 weeks old.

Thursday evening when I went to close up the coop, I found my very first egg on the floor! (Bottom in photo) Weight 1.05 ounces, and I blew it into a bowl to preserve the shell for posterity. It did have a yolk.

Nothing on Friday.

Last evening, another one! (Top in photo) Weighed in at 1.15 ounces.

I have Brown Leghorns, Dixie Rainbows and New Hampshires, all from Tractor Supply late in April.

Waiting on my Norwegian Jaerhon and Ameracauna to lay an egg. Should be this month...The Jaerhon has very very red comb and wattles and keeps showing interest in the nesting boxes. I find her arranging golf balls and laying on them lol. My Ameracauna has a very red comb and she's just starting to squat and let me pick her up (finally).. I can't take this whole waiting thing...
