Is it normal for RIRs eggs to be so different in color?

I think so, I have isa browns and my girls eggs are anywhere from a milky chocolate colour to a darker shade of beige. So yah it's pretty normal.

The darker egg is almost the really dark color of a Copper Maran where as the other one is a light brown. I've long suspected that my RIRs were mixed although I was told they weren't. Their coloring is a bit off from what I've been told...lol.

Here is the first Salmon Faverolle egg I got today (I suspect) it was laid in the coop instead of the nest box, but it looks just like a Salmon Fav egg ought to, so I think it is.

I have eight hens ranging in age from 21-23 weeks and I am impatiently waiting for our first egg. I thought it was a race between the Maran, and Wyandotte, but my two RIR's are getting redder combs and waddles. My Maran (Raven) received unwanted attention from the rooster yesterday, so maybe she won't be the first to lay. I have a camera set up to hopefully catch who the winner is....

First egg out of my flock of five today. 22 weeks old. The egg layer was Carol, a Plymouth Barred Rock. Pretty perfect little egg. She went in the nest boxes and kicked all the wooden eggs out too!!! I squealed like a little kid on Christmas Day!

Yeah finally!!! I think both my orps laid? One in box one on ground and caught roo as he started pecking it... One was rubber egg one not? We have a box on ground too... And I was in coop yest afternoon and nothing there...

Ya free choice and I sometimes put a tiny bit in there food... The hen that layed rubber egg been trying for days now... There also on super layer feed 22 protein and 4 something calcium... Although I may need to pull back a bit on the scratch? I throw a bit out and mix a teeny bit in food so they don't search all day for scratch and not eat...
